1. Cancelling a recurring subscription
You may cancel future renewal using available subscription controls or by contacting info@geolayers.co.za when those controls are unavailable. Unless the checkout or a statutory right states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and prevents the next renewal.
2. Professional monthly subscriptions
Professional subscription fees are ordinarily charged for the selected billing period. After cancellation, paid features normally remain available until the paid period ends.
Unused time in a billing period is generally not refundable solely because you chose to stop using the service, except where required by law or where GeoLayers approves a refund because of duplicate billing, a material service error or another fair reason.
3. Starter trial
The Starter trial is currently free for 14 days. Because no subscription fee is charged for the free trial itself, there is ordinarily no trial fee to refund. If you subscribe after or during the trial, the paid subscription is governed by the applicable checkout terms and this policy.
4. Statutory cooling-off and consumer rights
Nothing in this policy removes a cooling-off, cancellation, refund, quality or other consumer right that applies under ECTA, the CPA or other mandatory law. Whether a particular statutory right applies can depend on the nature of the transaction, whether a service began at the consumer's request, the type of digital product and other circumstances.
Where the law gives you a stronger right than this policy, the law prevails.
5. Incorrect, duplicate or unauthorized charges
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, charged twice or charged after a valid cancellation, contact info@geolayers.co.za promptly with the account email, invoice/transaction reference and enough information to investigate. Do not send full payment-card details by email.
6. Material service failure
If a paid service is materially unavailable or does not substantially correspond with the purchased service, GeoLayers will assess the issue in light of the Terms of Service, the affected period, reasonable remediation options and applicable consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, the remedy may include restoration, service credit, extension, partial refund or full refund.
7. Marketplace digital products
Marketplace refund rights depend on the product, licence, download/access status and applicable law. A refund will generally be considered where a GeoLayers product is materially defective, materially misdescribed, supplied in error or otherwise subject to a statutory remedy.
A change of mind after a digital product has been downloaded or accessed may not qualify for a refund where applicable law permits that limitation. Product-specific terms may provide additional rights.
8. Organization customers
Custom Organization agreements may contain separate invoicing, notice, termination, cancellation, service-credit and refund provisions. Those negotiated terms govern for that organization where they expressly differ from this policy.
9. How to request a refund
Email info@geolayers.co.za with:
- the account email;
- invoice or transaction reference;
- date and amount of the charge;
- reason for the request; and
- supporting information where relevant.
GeoLayers may ask for reasonable information needed to verify the account and transaction. Approved refunds will be returned through the original or another lawful payment method as appropriate.
